You'll see that our pitching.. particularly our RPs with Chapman, Jansen and Castilla early on anchored our team.

2011 Season - 2nd place by 1/2 Point!

We loaded the back end of our 2011 Draft with risk.. in order to find over looked potential. What took place was a bus wreck. From April 5th forward.. the middle third of our starting line-up was decimated by injuries for the first 3 months of the year. We hovered around 5th and 6th in the standings for weeks. We traded G. Gonzalez for Castro at SS. We picked up Free Agents

• Erik Bedard
• Cory Luebke
• Wilson Ramos
• Joel Peralta
• Jason Kipnis 
• Allen Craig 
• Desmond Jennings
• Matt Moore

We also used the DL to our advantage getting

• Pablo Sandoval in May
• Brandon Beachy in June

Sandoval was very good from June until a shoulder injury limited his right handed swing the last 3 weeks of the season. Salas, Luebke, Craig, Peralta, Moore and Jennings made solid contributions the last 6-8weeks.

We recovered to take over the lead the last 2 weeks only to finish 2nd.. 1/2 point out of 1st place.. the last day of the season. This was the worst rash of injuries* we had suffered in 5 years. By mid-April we were seriously challenged to regroup.. in what was an over populated 14 team rotisserie league with 1 DL position.
